Forest winger Anthony Elanga has admitted he is a complete professional at his current club despite being aware of Newcastle’s transfer targets, with Swedish team-mate Alexander Isak telling him good things about his time at St James’ Park.

Elanga was close to joining the Magpies at the end of the summer transfer window, but the Foresters rejected a £35m bid that fell short of their UFABET expectations, leaving him at the City Ground waiting to be pounced on in January 2025.
“The environment at Nottingham is good,” he told Football Scanalen.
“It’s clear that Newcastle are interested in you – that means I’m good enough to have a big club interested.”
“But Forest is also a big team. They have won the Champions League twice. Even though it was before I was born, I am happy. I am still under contract here.”
“My focus is on Nottingham, hoping to have a good season and then we’ll see what happens.”
“Isaac also asked me about it, but I told him the same thing I tell everyone else.”
“We have a good rapport, good chemistry when we play together, but I still have a contract with Forest.”
Elanga ‘s contract runs until June 2028 and is valued at £ 40m .
